WELCOME TO STAMFORD SPARTANS YOUTH CHEERLEADING!
The mission of Stamford Spartans Youth Cheerleading is to build a united, city-wide program that will teach the foundational techniques of cheerleading to prepare our athletes for high school. We will develop the athleticism of our participants in a safe and fun environment while instilling the principles of teamwork, sportsmanship and responsibility.
Spartan cheer teams will abide by the safety rules set forth by the cheer directors. Coaches will be provided with clinics and workshops dealing with correct skill execution, technique, and progressions. All skills taught and performed will be based on age and athletic readiness of the individuals. Proper skill progression will always be used.
With our focus on safety all of our coaches will also be CPR and First aid certified, and trained in concussion management.
